ALP/Peter Bergman is pleased to announce Anna Bjerger's second soloexhibition at the gallery.
Anna Bjerger continues to reference her photographic archive of old magazines, reference books and manuals in these new paintings. The ongoing collection of this material is an integral part of her working process. The open relationship with the original photographic image allows a personal expression to develop through her painterly approach.

The exhibition has evolved as Bjerger has allowed each painting to dictate the image used for the next. The resulting paintings have an underlying relationship but also exist singularly without thematic constraints.

The works in Strange Talents exist at the point where a photograph can be expressed through the language of painting, therefore shifting both its meaning and atmosphere. Light clarifies form and the motif decides the scale resulting in paintings that are both subjective and mysterious. Anna Bjerger clarifies the position of the viewer, our limitations and how images are deciphered through collective experience.
